Ability to pause single player games (Bedrock)

Not sure why this is still missing. Having to quit every time something else requires attention is very annoying.

    Completely insane that this isn't a feature when multiplayer is disabled. I regret trying Minecraft for Windows now.

    Wasted time on that world. Back to Java until I can PAUSE.

    I have a switch and this is very annoying to me but there is another aspect of this, the fact that Minecraft bedrock treats every world as a server even offline makes it run worse on switch. It causes unnecessary lags (the same ones that happen on online games even when offline). And it's a thing that was already implemented in java a while ago except in reverse. Please just make it a thing possible to turn off

    I've had to spend quite some time in settings during my games, especially since so much of the game doesn't get read by the narrator (including the help pages!?) and the audio balancing requires constant adjustment depending on the map. I need to not die while fixing my setup. If you can't bare to treat a single player world as offline then just treat it as the unoccupied server being closed during the pause time so a friend wouldn't be able to join anyway.

    Mojang has to seriously add this, there are far too many problems without pausing the game. Bugs make it worse when the world is loading as everything is still ticking. It is also very prone to random client, server and unknown whole game crashes.

    Seeing comments from 2018... and still no pause for single player? 

    Mojang, what's the hold up here? We don't need 50 new mobs or blocks or biomes at the moment. We need to be able to pause in single-player. I shouldn't have to exit the game every time I use the restroom or get something to drink.

    Agreed! I have a switch and just leaving or pausing for 10 seconds to eat can mean all of my items gone, which is ridiculous. I feel this makes the game generally less enjoyable.

    The only good things of not being able to pause is Automatic farms can keep running and your crops still grow even while you are away and the game is on the pause screen.

    It's incredible, how people are asking from 2018 for such a basic "feature", and devs just don't f care about it. I'm not going to try this game until it has this "feature". And it looks like I'll never will, because devs don't care about people playing in single player.

    Be careful on Bedrock Hardcore!

    Without this pausing feature, expect more future hardcore deaths on Bedrock to come up than Java while players are away from their world and their game seems to be paused, but it actually is not…

    Bro please Mojang please allow us to pause the game it sucks so bad when you go to pause and realize that it literally does nothing. You are letting half your community down!

    Without real Pause Funktion i can Not Play the Game on Switch. I totaly want a refund but Switch does not allow. :(((((

    Stuff like this is why Bedrock version is worse compared to java. I'd rather go through the trouble of figuring out how to install java edition on Android than having to deal with this

    It's insane that this hasn't been implemented yet. It's such a basic feature that makes such a big difference for people who play singleplayer.
