Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Maybe some pre written bokks that include lore?  Some happy ones for the villages, and some darker ones for the mansions, and then mysterious ones for the strongholds?  Something to add to the fact that your (asside from villagers who are honestly pretty useless)  Are alone in this world..  Or you are now?

I love that idea. Since there isn't much to do in this game besides running around killing things and exploring cool stuff, I would love to see some lore. It would be nice to have a good story to follow—something like what they did with Minecraft Story mode.

Huh, I'm surprised this post wasn't labeled as "announced" after the chiseled bookshelf.

I agree with everything said here. To go even further, I think brewing stands and chiseled bookshelves should have the texture of the items actually change depending on the item.

like, the potions would actually be the color of the potions in the stand, and the books would glimmer if they're enchanted or be red if they're written/signed

I would love for enchant tables to detect bookshelves from more than 1 block away. its so limiting for cool libraries.
