Palm & Coconut Trees (was: Palm Trees)

There a few different types of trees in Minecraft but I think one that would really liven up the world, and that could fit well with the new Update Aquatic, are palm trees. They could only generate on or around beaches obviously. Also, I would really really want coconuts trees to be added too. The coconuts could be kind of like cocoa beans but a little different. You could drink from them and eat them. I feel like this would really help and is something I’ve wanted for a while.

    100% Agree here are my ideas on Palm Trees

    Coconut Palms
    Drops:     Coconut Palm Wood, Coconuts(C), Palm Fronds(PF) (Flat block similar to Lily Pads and Carpet)
    Smelting: Coconuts = Toasted Coconut, Palm Fronds = Nothing, Palm Wood=Sugar
    Behavior: Must be planted on the sand with no restriction of water source

    Date Palms
    Drops: Date Palm Wood, Dates, (similar to Palm wood but darker), Palm Fronds (Flat block similar to Lily Pads and Carpet)
    Smelting: Dates=Dried Dates(D), Date Palm Wood=Sugar
    Behavior: Must be planted on the sand with no restriction of water source

    Recipes/Uses:
    Legend: (W) Wheat, (Date), (TC) Toasted Coconut, (PF) Palm Fronds, (B) Bucket
    Coconuts, Can be drank like water and it returns a bowl to inventory

    Coconut Cookies - Use Food

    Palm Fronds can be placed over campfires to smoke bees but not allow falling in holes

    Dates and Coconuts can be planted to make more Coconut/Date Palm Trees

    Date/Coconut Palms can be used as any other wood to make doors/slabs/stairs/etc

    I'd separate those into two different kinds of palm trees.

    Beaches would get coconut palms, which have smooth grey bark and can (but don't have to) lean over,

    deserts would get date palms, which have a rough brown bark that reminds of scales, which always grow straight up.

    Maybe there could also be a Coconut Monster, that I think should probably have a Aztec look to it.

    We need palm trees in the desert oasiss as well bro! Just think about it! A palm tree with dates or coconuts! Its will be a great addition to the overworld and specially the desert and the masa.

    What if the coconuts start green, and they grow like crops, with 2 or 3 stages, the last one being the only one that gives you coconut milk, and the green ones poison you if eaten. Also, if they aren't harvested while mature, they fall from the tree and drop as rotten coconuts. And if a coconut falls on you or a mob, it deals damage.
