so like a deactivated version of the current redstone block? Correct me if I’m wrong.

This would be awesome! Alternatively, similar to cubfan's suggestion to be able to imbue solid blocks with glowdust to make them give off light, solid blocks could be imbued with redstone to enable them to transfer redstone signals.

and what if not rdustblock but putting slime ball on floor or wall and place there redstone... redstone cant be pushed by pistons even if its "slimed" but block on what redstone is can be pushed!

Like the 6x6 seamless piston door in Java edition that the bottom needs dual edge monostable circuit and all of the sticky piston dropping off the block and the bottom opening use quasy connectivity to make it simpler than the additional circuit

I think the idea of sticky redstone dust is even better. It uses a slimeball and a redstone dust to make it, which can be placed on the wall and transmit signals vertically.

I say people speaking about sticky redstone. You guys don't realise that we need a block if we want to be able to build flying machines, and I guess other things

All I want is quazzy connectivity thats it! I want my redstone contraptions to work

edit: also fix the 0-tick pulse please

1 tick pulses block grabs plz

This is a really great idea, since it would add useful features without breaking previous bedrock redstone builds

The bedrock version of Minecraft should make the redstone work even better than the java version, saving that the pistons connect directly to the redstone while adding the wonderful "quasi connectivity bug", making sticky pistons leave their blocks if they receive one tick pulses, and maintain that the dispensers and chests can be moved by pistons.

timings should definitely get corrected I suppose

it should be like math 2+2 will always be 4 am I right??? XD

really hope these changes make it into the game soon

I think Bedrock redstone is fine the way it is, instead I like the idea of combining redstone with other blocks to make them conductive

It could be like the ones seen in Minecraft Dungeons

I'd rather just have redstone like Java for Bedrock than a new block.

While I understand personally that a lot of stuff doesn't work in bedrock because of our inability to use BUDs or Quasi-connectivity, that doesn't mean that we should receive such things. Personally I think BUD switches and Quasi connectivity are the broken features that should be removed because realistically they don't make sense.

why don't they just add QC to bedrock that's not too hard

Why not just a direct port from java to bedrock?

While this would make slimeblock flying machines capable of carrying redstone cicuits aboard, there are more ways to Quasi-power a piston than dust. This is a very clever idea, however, and deserves further attention.

I really hope this seggustion gets added becuase it would help solve the parity issue that devides the redstone community and it would add so much more versatility to redstone creations.

quasi-connectivity was once reported as an "intended feature"

It would be great to have this in java to replace quasi-connectivity, since it can be quite annoying

You don't understand quasi quasi means that a piston can be powered by a block no matter what it is that is activated above it and this doesn't fix quasi on flying machines. if it's not to solve quasi then I am fine with it.

That would be so useful, except they shouldn't Change Redstone, I spent years understanding it, they cant chnage it

This wouldn’t solve a jeb door though, they are super small, a 6x6x4 one is very easy to make if you tweak the layout, otherwise they are 8x6x4. On Java it’s 6x4x2. Redstone on bedrock is very good, and this block version of redstone dust would make some things too easy, I like the challenge of some things like 7x7+ vault doors (I am working on 7x7 vault)

we need this feature to come to bedrock where redstone in bedrock uses java redstone

I think the texture of it could be like redstone, but in a tube to prevent it from spilling

How a how about it also behaves like sand(due to it being a pile of dust) so that it can be easily manipulated in red stone contraptions.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this just the target block? The target block is a full block that conducts Redstone signal AND redirects Redstone dust on java edition(on bedrock edition it is still bugged and does not actually conduct signal). We don't need a new block for this, to send signal straight down we would just need a slight change to target blocks so they power the Redstone dust on top of the block below them(like a Redstone block powers the dust beneath it). Then we could alternate target blocks with Redstone dust on top to send signal straight down.

    Deactivated redstone block.

Would be crafted with the exact same recipe. Normal block would be crafted with the deactivate block and a torch

me encantaria que esto se agregue a minecrft bedrock ya que es muy molesto hacer mecanismos grandes en ese minecraft

It would be usual blocks (like the stone block) which have redstone dust in a hole inside them
