Minecraft Bedrock Edition needs a proper Level of Detail (LOD) system—like what exists in almost every major open-world game today.
Unlike Java Edition (which now has mods like Distant Horizons), Bedrock completely lacks LOD. This means:
Distant terrain and structures disappear instead of being simplified.
The only way to "see further" is by increasing render distance, which causes huge performance drops.
Builds, cities, and landscapes feel smaller and less immersive because the game can't show them beyond a short range.
Devices with limited RAM/CPU suffer the most, even though Bedrock was designed for those platforms.
Games like Genshin Impact, ARK, and even Roblox use LOD to optimize rendering and improve performance. Why is Bedrock the only game of its kind without it?
We understand RenderDragon is a custom engine, but adding some form of dynamic LOD for terrain and structures would drastically improve the experience for all Bedrock players—especially mobile and console users.
Please consider prioritizing this feature. The community needs this just as much—if not more—than Java players.
