Add Level of Detail (LOD) System to Minecraft Bedrock Edition

Minecraft Bedrock Edition needs a proper Level of Detail (LOD) system—like what exists in almost every major open-world game today. Unlike Java Edition (which now has mods like Distant Horizons), Bedrock completely lacks LOD. This means: Distant terrain and structures disappear instead of being simplified. The only way to "see further" is by increasing render distance, which causes huge performance drops. Builds, cities, and landscapes feel smaller and less immersive because the game can't show them beyond a short range. Devices with limited RAM/CPU suffer the most, even though Bedrock was designed for those platforms. Games like Genshin Impact, ARK, and even Roblox use LOD to optimize rendering and improve performance. Why is Bedrock the only game of its kind without it? We understand RenderDragon is a custom engine, but adding some form of dynamic LOD for terrain and structures would drastically improve the experience for all Bedrock players—especially mobile and console users. Please consider prioritizing this feature. The community needs this just as much—if not more—than Java players.

    This should be a thing already. The renderdragon system is getting all of these fancy lighting effects but the normal "fancy" graphics can barely get 60fps with my rtx3090. can't even render 20 chunk distance without getting below 60fps

    There is really no reason for my 3090 GPU and 12k CPU to drop to 50 fps when I set my render distance higher than 16 on fancy graphics. This is a game in which everything is cube. There aren't dynamic lights constantly updating shadows and lighting tunnels with torches in my hand. It's just kind of sad for bedrock tbh; bedrock was supposed to be the more optimized option when it released. Currently, java mods can set the render distance to 2000 chunks and see God themself. I can barely see the other side of a nether lava lake.

    Since Microsoft loves buying things like gaming studios, why not just buy the mods that people create and just port them to bedrock? 

    Also, we need a "fake" render distance option. A setting that lets us see what is ahead but isn't saved to disk (so we can go higher than 28 render distance for realms.) I know there might be pop-in discrepancy between what is actually there and the "predicted" thing. I would rather save fake chunks to ram and let my imagination fly than peer into a fog.
