Here's feedback from someone who gets motion sickness.
Going forward, backwards, and strafing while piloting the Happy Ghast doesn't induce nausea, but when I look around with my camera, particularly left and right, the nauseating effect is immediate and severe. This is a huge problem, as when I go to build while piloting the Ghast, my instinct is to do so as if I'm in Creative, and I immediately feel sick. While dismounting helps, the feeling of nausea doesn't immediately go away. In testing I found I could not continue playing Minecraft after only about 5 minutes (not just piloting the Ghast; I had to quit the game until the feeling left, which for me normally takes at least 15 minutes).
I believe the cause of this that the player is swung around in a wide circle when looking left to right, as opposed to rotating on the spot.
I will not be able to use the Happy Ghast feature if this is how it is implemented on release (and I imagine this may true for other players like myself). This is incredibly disappointing.
One solution might be to position the pilot player in the center of the Ghast, rather than at the front. I don't believe this will severely impact mounted building, as the player has sufficient reach to clear the Ghast's collision box. If I'm wrong about that, player reach could be temporarily extended while piloting the Ghast.
