Something simmilar to how story mode handles clouds could work.

yesss. perhaps they should also make the clouds more three dimensional. make them look like they are almost made of blocks instead of just flat sheets. make them more voxel-y! its minecraft after all

Here is an English translation of the above French comment, which I totally agree with!

The clouds have become… a little too shy!

I totally agree with this opinion. Since the 1.21.80.25 update , the clouds seem much thinner than before. This breaks the iconic and immersive visual atmosphere of Minecraft a little. In version 1.21.70 , the clouds had a nice density, a real presence in the sky. Today, they seem almost erased...

If the idea is to renovate the rendering of clouds, why not go further by innovating?

    • Add varying thickness for each cloud, for a more vibrant sky.

    • Make them occupy different altitudes , with realistic transparency effects depending on their height.

These kinds of additions would make the sky more dynamic, more natural , without betraying the cubic style of Minecraft that we all love.

Thanks for your great work on Vibrant Visuals , but let's not forget: beautiful skies are what make the worlds we create magical.

they should also make cloud shadows more soft, because the current ones look strange. Additionally, thicker clouds would have more intense shadows.

Clouds can be dynamic, so they alternate between when it starts to rain and when it becomes a beautiful sunny day.

The outline around clouds should be reduced slightly.

I totally agree with this view!

Over the past period of time, Minecraft has not made any significant changes regarding the cloud aspect.

We should add more things of the clouds in Minecraft!

For instance, add cumulonimbus clouds, cumulus clouds, cumulus fractus clouds, alto clouds, cirrus clouds, cirrostratus clouds... and even some unique halos!

I have visited a nature reserve. The environment there is similar to that in Minecraft, But the clouds in there are ever-changing and come in various shaps, while in Minecraft, there are only a few thin clouds floating in the sky at any given time.

I think Minecraft should have more clouds: on sunny days, let there be cumulus clouds, cirrus clouds (it seems a bit complicated to create this model. You could add a halo to the sun when it's in the cirrus clouds) or altostratus clouds moving slowly across the sky, or no clouds at all; during the transition period between sunny and rainy days (or let Minecraft add the cloudy days), let high clouds, cumulonimbus clouds or stratocumulus clouds hang in the sky; during rainy days, let cumulonimbus clouds make the sky feel gloomy. If it's a thunderstorm, let cumulonimbus clouds appear. By the way, you can add the rainbow in Minecraft, but you need to make the rainbow with a small probability after a rainy day!

The cloud texture should be updated so that there are different types of clouds

There should be cumlus clouds thar are a 3d model made of pixels

Stratus clouds should be thin the higher up they go the thinner they get

Cirrus clouds should be curvy lines

    Basically all cloud types

Obviously they should be 3s models, not 2d pixelly textures. And then cirrus clouds can't be an irl image, that would impact low end devices. Also I like your cloud variant idea 👍

They definitely need multiple layers and a new 3d look done to them.

The clouds should be big and full of wonder and players should enjoy flying through these giant blocky clouds, not just one block layer many blocks in a no specific order.

I agree. I preferred the old clouds because they looked like nice cumulous clouds. And now they look more like cirrus.

I do not like when an update is about something, like Chase the Skies, but does not add anything to it at all. They should add some structure in the sky, so you are forced to use the happy Ghast

I wait that Mounts of Mayhem would not have this problem and add the Jellyfish. Here is the direction to vote for it. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/40473850000909-Jellyfish-for-Mounts-of-Mayhem

Nice work mojang on your vibrant visuals project, but you might wanna fatten those clouds for the new update so make another game drop in the Minecraft settings that says “thick clouds” which you can change the thickness with a bar like the one for the amount of players needed to skip the night. They should copy the Better Clouds mod; they're perfect.

We should have really thick cumulonimbus that maybe toss around elytra, and all kinds of cloud types. That would be awesome. We need all the cloud types. We also need darker and lighter clouds
