Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Spears!

Hello Mojang,

I would like to tell you about a possible new weapon/item!

Functionality
The Spear would be an early game verison of the trident (Just without the speical enchantments). Now, what makes the spear speical is that you could be able to block with it, a lot like early verisons of the sword! The Spear should also take up your off-hand slot, so it would be balanced and not be better than the Trident, any item in your off-hand would just go to your inventory.
 
Crafting Recipe
The Spear should be crafted like a shovel, but instead it could be titled, like how you craft a fishing rod. The Spear would be crafted with any ore (Yes even copper) besides wood and coal
 
Enchantments
The Spear should also have a unique enchantment, this enchantment would be called "Stun", as its name suggest, it would stun your target, the time of the stun could vary, the enchantment could go up to 3, "Stun 1" could hold the enemy for 5 seconds, "Stun 2" 10 seconds, "Stun 3" 15 seconds, this would keep it balanced and fair.
 
I believe that this would enhance over all realism of the game and also boost creativity and stratgey througout the game! This would also add a new use for copper other than blocks.

    Spears are coming to Minecraft now, even in multiple tiers a-la the Sword.
