Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Make the Locator Bar only shown with a Compass.

Title says it all, add an additional function to a much less used item by making the locator bar only shown when a compass is in the player's inventory.

    For the compass idea, it would be interesting if it was possible to connect compasses, like with maps, then a player would be able to find another player, as long the other player has a compass with the same connection.

    Not necessarily limited to two compasses, you could have multiple ones that show all the others in the "same frequency".

    But it wouldn't detect players widout compasses.

    As well as only showing the player locator bar if you are holding a compass, I think only players holding an unlinked (not lodestone or recovery) compass (in hand or in hotbar, I don't know) should show up on the player locator bar.

    So if two players are trying to find each other, the compasses would lead them to each other instead of to the worldspawn.
