Add Fire Aspect Enchantment to Pickaxes for Automatic Ore Smelting

Hello Mojang Team,

I’d like to suggest a new mechanic that could add excitement and convenience to Minecraft: applying the Fire Aspect enchantment to pickaxes for automatic ore smelting.

Here's how it would work:

  • Fire Aspect I on a pickaxe gives a 50% chance to drop a smelted version of ores (e.g., smelted iron or gold ingot) instead of the raw ore.
  • Fire Aspect II increases the chance to 100%.

Why this would be great:

  1. Increased Efficiency – It saves time by eliminating the need to smelt ores in a furnace, making mining more rewarding.

  2. Unique Use for Fire Aspect – Fire Aspect would gain new relevance, offering more enchantment options for players.

  3. Exciting Gameplay – The 50% chance with Fire Aspect I adds an element of unpredictability, while Fire Aspect II guarantees smelting.

  4. Enhanced Mining Experience – It would make mining more dynamic and encourage creativity in how players approach gathering resources.

I believe this feature would be a great addition to Minecraft and hope you’ll consider it for a future update.

    Something like this would be really cool! I think it should apply to all blocks mined with a Fire Aspect pickaxe, so wet sponges mined with it would become dry, and stone would come up as smooth stone.

    Love this idea, would make gathering resources for a beacon or build wayy faster and easier
