Hi Mojang, I have been a fan of Minecraft since I was a small child in 2009. Minecraft taught me many things growing up, mainly an appreciation for nature. Soon, I will graduate from college and have a sustainability minor. I understand the delicate balance that is considered before every update. I think Minecraft is a fantastic tool for teaching children about the world. It would be very cool if there were some ways to improve crop yields by practicing good farming practices. Many people play Minecraft without beating it, and the small, peaceful elements of survival Minecraft can be very enriching. Starting a wheat farm Minecraft is one of my favorite parts of the early game, but later in the game, I find no reason to tend to my crops. In real life, crop rotation is essential if you wish to farm in the same spot for the long term. Adding some crop rotation mechanics could enrich the farming aspect of the game. It could be a good incentive to grow crops that a player may not usually use otherwise. There could be a difference between dirt blocks and soil blocks, and the composting block can enrich dirt to make soil. With better soil quality you could produce 3 wheat per square instead of one. Like I said, I think this would make the game more fun, but more importantly, it could serve as a way to educate all while keeping the balance of vanilla Minecraft
