in my opinion, the reason the trident is such a bad weapon in combat, is its enchantment that increases the weapon's base damage(impalement), because it only works on 2 aggressive monsters, it makes the trident very limited, to solve this problem I think it's interesting to remove this enchantment rule works only on water monsters, and add another less specific rule in its place, the new rule would work as follows, if the player is in contact with water the enchantment works with 100% efficiency (in any mob), but if the player leaves the water the enchantment will still work, but with only 50% efficiency.
