Hello, I have a suggestion that I think would more accurately portray the Mesa Biome in Minecraft's world generation. I have made multiple worlds over the past few days trying to find a mesa biome that resembles that of what you would find in Utah, Colorado, or Arizona. I was trying to find snowy slopes, taiga, or mountains near a mesa like how they are in real life, And it appears that the mesa biome is (mostly) programmed to generate near warm biomes like desert, savanna, and jungle. I think it would be a great addition to the game to have mesa generate closer to mountains rather than just warm biomes. This would be more accurate to the real Earth, where "Mesa" can be in either hot regions or cold regions. One of the sub-types is also called "Mesa_Bryce" probably referring to Bryce Canyon in Utah, but Bryce Canyon in Utah is actually known to get quite a bit of snow every winter. It appears that the developers were only considering the Mesa found in hot places like Arizona and Mexico on Earth and did not include the rest of the Mesa's identity, but still chose to reference Bryce Canyon? I think it would be a great addition to Minecraft to either change the generation of the Mesa Biome, or add a colder variation of the Mesa biome that can generate near Plains, taiga, and snowy mountains.
Thank you for reading if you did! This is just a small quirk in the overworld generation that was bugging me recently... Have a nice day!
