For a while now, I’ve noticed a frustrating limitation in Minecraft Bedrock: the inability to create user interfaces (Chest GUIs) like those in Minecraft Java. It would be amazing to have the ability to manipulate containers, such as chests, shulkers, hoppers, furnaces, and others, allowing players to be forced to open these inventories or interact with them directly.
In Minecraft Java, this is possible thanks to plugins and mods, but having an official functionality developed by Mojang/Microsoft would be a significant improvement. This would not only make the lives of programmers and addon creators easier but also encourage the development of more creative and innovative projects within the Bedrock community.
Additionally, this feature would bring new opportunities to the game, increasing its visibility and attracting more players and creators interested in exploring these possibilities.
Therefore, I would like to suggest adding official support for container manipulation via scripts, enabling actions such as:
Forcing the opening of block inventories (chests, shulkers, furnaces, crafting tables, etc.)
Adding or removing items directly from these containers;
Manipulating container contents in real-time.
This addition would be a powerful tool for the creator community and a significant step toward aligning Minecraft Bedrock’s capabilities with those of Minecraft Java. Please consider this suggestion.
