Currently, flower pots are fairly easy to craft and provide great aesthetic customization due to their small size and diversity of held items. It is also commonly used to mimic other objects that hold goods like drinks, pet food, etc.
Flower pots pretend to be cups and bowls, while glass bottles and bowls can't. If they could be, there would be a much greater range of aesthetic customization for players of all kinds, as well as new ways to store potions and foods.
CURRENT FLOWER POT DETAILS
- Clay appearance
- Inventory stacks to 64
- Can be placed on flat surfaces
- [While placed] can hold 1 item (mushrooms, flowers, saplings, etc.)
CURRENT GLASS BOTTLES and BOWLS
- Glass bottles are glass, bowls are wood
- Inventory stacks to 64 [if empty]
- CAN'T place on flat surfaces either empty or full
SUGGESTION (AND ASSETS NEEDED)
The ability to place bottles and bowls, empty or full.
- The physical empty bottle size would be the same as the flower pot's base, but with a glass texture, and being taller with a closed top via brown plug. (1 asset, new)
- Placed full bottles show water/potion inside. (16 assets using the above with the same color/texture from full cauldrons)
- Splash and Lingering potions would look the same; no additional work. (0 assets)
- Bowl size would be longer and shorter than flower pot, but taller than an item frame. (1 asset, new)
- Placed full bowls show soup/stew inside. (4 assets, new)
TOTAL = 22 new assets would be needed to allow the placement of bottles and bowls.
