I think that to increase the difficulty of the Creaking, it should be added that when you are breaking the Creaking Heart, the Creaking “goes crazy” and attacks without control, thus adding difficulty to the moment of breaking the Creaking Heart.

    CREAKING NEST:

A location in the Pale Garden, that houses 3-4 Creaking Hearts, along with 2-3 Creakings not tethered to hearts (Like how when you spawn them from Spawn Eggs in Creative).

The Creakings Not Tethered to the Hearts are more aggressive, and attack the player even when being looked at.

When the player raids the Nest, they can find suspicious gravel, and in the gravel they have the potential to find the new enchantment, Soft Step.

    SOFT STEP:

And enchantment that can only be found in Creaking Nest, and when put on a Pair of boots the Player is harder to be sensed by all hostile mobs.

Soft step has one level of enchantments, and the Creaking is the only mob not affected by the enchantment

To me two things seem to be needed to maximize mini-game usage. One is some way such as height or redstone to allow spawning during the day. The other is someway to use redstone to dispell an intentionally spawned creaking.

Make it so that the Creaking can climb walls and ceilings so that players can't just dig a hole below them to cheese it. I'd also love for a new exclusive structure to be added to the pale garden, such as an underground catacomb (the entrance could possibly be an opening with a stone-like staircase) with a few pale trees inside to make it more like a creepy tomb. In this structure, there could possibly be a new creepy disc similar to 5 and a pale/creak armor trim would be nice.

I don't know if other people feel the same way as me, but I think there's something missing from the Creaking mob model, I think it's interesting, but I feel there's something missing, they could put some mushrooms on its shoulders, or in the waist area (in the "hole" space), as they have the new skeleton that gives poison (I can't remember the name) and I feel it should be a taller creature, like a tree in fact, I feel it's too short, something like 4-5 blocks high (and a bit wider so it doesn't look weird afterwards)

I think mob creaking should be:
    - Higher, about 4-5 blocks I think would be better, after all, he's kind of a tree, it doesn't make sense for him to be tinywwwww
    - Give more damage, the damage is too low
    - Be faster, to give a greater sense of fear
    - The design could be improved, like putting mushrooms on his shoulders, or in the hole in his waist, or a sappling from the new tree

I don't mind the Creaking being slow, so long as it does enough damage to be an actual threat... Right now (as I'm sure many people have already mentioned) it doesn't do a lot of damage.

On hard mode, it does 3 damage... Which is less than the Zombie (which does 4). That doesn't seem right to me... If the Creaking is going to have so much counterplay (i.e. being really slow and freezing when you look at it, only appearing in one specific biome at night only when there's a Heart nearby) then its gotta be REALLY scary when its up close.

It should also close its eyes when you look at it, so you only see a brief flash of orange for a second. Right now the glowing eyes make it stand out too much. All the fear factor kinda goes away when you can see it awkwardly shuffle and slide to a stop (it should freeze mid walk animation, would really sell the effect).

Or at the very least, add some sort of decoy eyes throughout the biome, so that its not quite so obvious which set of eyes is the real deal.

The Creaking should drop an item when you break the Creaking Heart without Silk Touch, that way it gives incentive to go to the biome at night (and also prevents you from infinitely farming them just by breaking and placing the heart over and over again).

Could be some kind of "Pale Resin" or something like that, hardened tree sap, which could be used to craft a redstone block that detects when the player looks at it (as many others have suggested already). Could double as a potion ingredient to brew Potions of Blindness.

Or if you'd rather it have a completely new effect, it could be a Potion of Silence, which would reduce the range Sculk Sensors could hear you, and reduce the detection radius of hostile mobs.

Creaking is great but here are my suggestions on how to make it even better:

    • Creaking tries to camouflage - Creaking will try to camouflage in the surrounding Pale Oak trees and shut its eyes so that the player has a tougher time dealing with it.
    • Increased knockback - Creaking does measly amount of damage and it doesn't make sense to increase it as it is already a hassle to kill the creaking. Increasing the knockback would be the next best alternative.
    • Despawning animation - It doesn't feel correct when the creaking instantly despawns after breaking the Creaking Heart. Warden has a despawning animation then why not creaking. Creaking is the only mob in Minecraft which requires you to break a block to defeat so the animation makes complete sense. I would recommend that the creaking get converted into small particles and those particles either fall to the ground or mix with the Pale Oak logs in the surroundings.
These suggestions would make the Creaking one of the most loved mobs in the game

The Creaking Heart should not be broken so easily. It should take significantly more time to break with a regular axe and maybe add some kind of tool made out of rarer materials to destroy it faster.

Make the creaking be able to root players from the distance. Rooting would cause players to not be able to move completely. To free themselves players would have to break the roots underneath them. It would force players to turn away from the creaking to break the roots letting the creaking come closer, which would make the encounter even more scary and challenging.

I tough about the creaking being able attack hostile mob around like he does for the player. It could give an opportunity for players to have a form of protection for their home during night, if they do not want to use light (for aesthetic or whatever), but in return of some kind of dangers. Also it could give a new way to farm mobs. Maybe it's a short circuit for multiple features, but I think it could give this mob/biome an intersting vibe and uses.

When the creaking heart is destroyed the creaking shouldn't disappear rather, they should turn into petrified creaking a type of statue, where they eyes are shut (or opened which ever looks better) and they become an obtainable item similar to the armor stand so you can place the petrified creaking as a statue in your base.

Or it becomes a petrified creaking and when you break it you get some type of loot.

it would be nice to have a better way of controlling where it spawns, maybe it will avoid spawning in light , that could require a lot of checks that could really effect performance, maybe it could just prefer spawning on pale moss, which i could see working fine in the biome

I think the creaking should close its eyes when you look at it, occasionally opening them to check if you're still there. Kind of like how Boos from Mario cover their eyes and occasionally peek to see if you're still looking.

I also think some sort of creaking hive with multiple creaking hearts in close proximity to one another would be a really cool addition to the biome.

Maybe the creaking heart should save the last coordinates the creaking had, it could try to regerate it there before other places

He's a pretty creepy cutie. I accidentally summoned a couple in one spot with a spawn egg and thought he had eyes on the back of his head which could be a fun addition. I'm not much of a fighter but I was thinking it would be cool if players who control the heart of it control him. It's kind of like a stealable wolf/iron golem. I'm not sure how the game would know who "owns" the heart. Perhaps the last player who had it in their inventory controls it/it protects them. It's not perfect but just an idea.

What if in rare cases a GIANT CREAKING would spawn. It could have more leaves, really blend in with the trees like an Ent.

It could be caused by four or more Creaking Hearts generating in a single tree.

I really like the concept of Creaking, but I feel that there are certain details that could improve the experience with this mob, for example that the mob, instead of spawning in the air, comes out from the wood of the tree like the warden does from the ground, I also think that a single designer for a mob that is supposed to try to imitate the shape of a tree is not very successful, creaking should have different shapes like trees

The creaking is a really neat mob so far, but it could use some more detail and personality. Here's some ideas to make it more unique.

    • It is too easy to run from The mob should be far faster, so that you actually have to look at it. Right now, you can simply run, and it's too easy.
    • It is too much like a weeping angle It lacks some originality. This mob is supposed to be a tree, but it is fire resistant, which doesn't make much sense, and can't be harmed by anything. It would be neat if trying to burn it (Like burning wood) or using an axe on it (Like trying to cut down a tree) would enrage it, causing it to attack no matter what. Then players would have to be more careful, and it would be terrifying if this "tree" suddenly ran at you for trying to burn/cut it down. (It should also remain on fire while taking no damage from it if you do try to light it. Then it's attacks would be far worse- You would be chased by a flaming tree!)
    • It needs to stay rooted Right now, if the player isn't looking, the creaking will swim. That should change so it can walk really quickly across the bottom of water. It would make it harder to see it coming and add a creep factor. It is also a bit too easy to move it around, considering that it is supposed to stay linked, water currents should not affect it. After all, water doesn't affect trees, it only submerges them.
    • It knows If you look directly at the creaking, it should close its eyes, like it knows and is trying to blend it, like reverse enderman.

(This is a continuation of my previous post, I ran out of characters.)

    • Petrified Creaking If the heart is broken, instead of simply de-spawning, it should leave the "corpse," like a dead tree. This could be chopped up by an axe and have some kind of loot, giving the mob some actual purpose.
    • Too easy to just stare at Apart from the fact that it is not nearly fast enough, it is also too easy to just stare at. If you stare at it too long, some sort of effect should happen, something along blindness. This would cause the creaking to be able to attack despite which direction the player is looking, so the player would have to be more strategic about it. Something along the line of "Look and back up- then run- repeat," would then become effective as it if it were faster, it would catch up easier, but you can't stare at it for too long. This would provide a fair challenge, and if you wish to escape, your best bet is to come up with a creative approach or try to get out of range.
    • Again, too easy to escape Most importantly, the creaking is too easy to trap and escape from. If it finds its path to the player is obstructed (Like when trapped in a pit,) then it could have some sort of way around that. either it being able to "Root" to things, and crawl around, or tunneling down into the ground and traveling through its roots to resurface next to the player. This would be terrifying as there would be no easy way to trap and control it.

Make the creaking drop wood (maybe real wood blocks instead of logs!). This would fit perfectly and the creaking would be the first mob to drop wood, and maybe, there could be a new type of wood farming method for players who like mob farms better than redstone farms. Heres an idea of how to implement this: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/30834907503117-Creaking-wood-farming-Stripped-creaking-hearts
