It should have something worth exploring at night for.

Yeah, the fog and some branches break sound quite good to added for pale garden. Because that one is scarier if you reach that area.

Some open spots with glow linchen and glowing mushrooms could be interesting. An abandoned village in the middle of the forrest would bring the whole thing to a next level.

I agree. Make the trees look like a Willow Tree, space them out more than the current Dark Oak Forest retexture.

Yes on fog. But I'd like for it to be a slider option in the menu of the game that players can intensify to the point where you can't see anything but white and the glow of light objects/creeking eyes, or a super subtle thin fog layer for atmosphere and nothing else, or just get rid of it entirely. The player can choose the intensity.

I'd also like either fireflies that glow the same color of the creeking eyes and exist all day long to throw off the players and have them be disoriented almost when the creeking comes out. The other option is you could add really cool like soul flames almost floating around and guiding players to either a new structure or their impending death like a lava pit or ravine, that would also be cool.

If you want to do a fog without crashing weaker devices, you can also work with the concept of how viewingdistance is rendered in the game. Literally limiting it behind a natural fog. Like how back in the day the bedrock fog used to be.

Amongst that I feel like the Pale Garden should have some fly-trap-esk plants and a new fruit/plant that is edible. Maybe something that is only found near a forgotten crypt/dungeon structure?

Since both Silverfish and The Creaking have a special connection to a specific block, silverfish should spawn in the new biome.

There could also be "silverfish rocks" generating in the biome. That is clusters of stone and infested stone.

On top of that, silverfish are gray!

A flower that only generates in the deepest parts of the biome.

It glows at night and only then does it drop the flower item.

Cobwebs and random holes in the ground should generate in the biome.

When faced with The Creaking, you're often walking backwards. This makes you vulnerable to different kinds of traps.

Currently? it kinda does, I wish, the Pale Garden infected the biomes nearby it. At night->very dark->Slenderman as a reference for it.

So abandoned structures, fallen safe zones, abandoned villages that are caving in. Stuff of this sort.
But some Pale Gardens are seen slowed to stopped entirely for now near dilapidated walls. Once meant to hold the spread, but due to a lack of maintenance from the Ancient builders are slowly rotting and collapsing.

Things of this sort would be fun especially if the Pale Garden tells 2 stories, one based on Journals/POV's while the other is more environmental. Cause if Mojang is trying to make this spooky they need to go all out with the Environmental Storytelling and scattered journals from that era before, after, and during the collapse of the Ancient Builder Society. Who lived near what used to be *Insert type of biome here*
