I agree. I'm not convinced on the "terrifying"-ness of the pale garden, and the Creaking mob seems kinda goofy since you'd be looking at it a lot. I think a thick white fog would add a lot to the mood and make dealing with the Creaking scarier.

my immediate thought for the pale garden was to add fog. this is the biome that fog would work the best in

i back this, additionally it would be interesting if they added a new haze-like feature to the game that just lingers above and around the pale garden, it would make the biome feel less out of place as well

Simple yet important suggestion. Pale Garden NEEDS fog

I also agree! A thick fog can also make the sky look brighter at night and dim in daytime, which is a contrast that I think really fit the theme. Having a fog would also lower the rendering distance, which provides an isolated feel when you're in the biome, as if the Pale Garden is the whole world since you can't see farther into other biomes.

One good suggestion that I've seen elsewhere is the idea of a "Fog Flower" that could spawn in the biome. This could cause a fog effect in the area around the flower in a similar way to the spore blossom or cherry leaves. It could also be silk touched / sheared and placed in your builds where you would like some creepy fog effects.

Yes please. It would add so much more atmosphere to the biome, I'd especially love it if players could see the fog surrounding the forest from far away like a thick heavy cloud of fog, that catches their attention and draws them in. And other players to run away.

Additionally, once you enter the boundary of the forest, I'd appreciate if Mojang could add a new slider into the settings menu that allows players to change the intensity of the fog to their liking. That way it can be so thick you can't see anything at night outside of the glowing eyes of the creeking and the glow from it's heart block, but also a player can get rid of the fog entirely if they don't want it in their play style. It gives players the option of fog, which would be my ideal choice with the slider making it so a player can strengthen or weaken to their own level.

Additionally, this could be a fun excuse to include the fireflies back into the game, ones who's color look a little similar to the creeking. But the fireflies are always active regardless of the time of day, which when the Creeking comes out, players think it's a firefly initially dropping their guard until the realize what it truly is. Plus it would add extra atmosphere to the fog previously suggested. Do it Mojang. We want it. It also would heavily separate the Pale Garden from the Dark Oak Forest, which already looks extremely similar based on the current terrain generation.
