Adding Magic resistance (MR) to Minecraft

We have armour that reduces almost attack damage, but witch has potions that pierce our armour. If we die then the chat will show us that we are killed by magic. So that I'd like to have MR in minecraft, it could reduce magical damages that come from witch, ender dragon, ... (anything could be counted as magical attack) But couldn't reduce physical damage.

    I think there should be two types of mr armor: one with medium-level magic resistance and one with low-level physical resistance and high-level magic resistance.
