Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Diamond Dust (Diamond version of an nugget)

It would be nice to have a diamond version of the iron and gold nuggets so that when you say find diamond horse armour, cursed diamond gear, or for those (not so) rare times you accidentally make 5 pairs of boots, instead of being lost, you can grind the gear down with an anvil or grindstone and make "diamond dust". Then 9 diamond dust can be combined to create a diamond, much like 9 nuggets make an Ingot.

    This is quite a good idea, could we use it to make diamond apples?
