Seriously - even if the languages are similar, this is a huge shift and won't come along in the form of a singular suggestion. Honestly not a bad idea, but this'd probably come from a Minecraft rewrite entirely, which is never gonna happen, because...

    1. Mojang Developers are so unbelievably slow at development, that this would single-handedly cause another huge stall in updates, exceeding the 1.12.2 to 1.13 gap by a few years easily. A rewrite is already incredibly time-consuming, it helps the languages are similar, but still.

    2. If they were to rewrite Minecraft, they'd definitely go back and fix ancient code, which as far as I can tell, messing with ancient Java code always leads to thousands of errors. Sounds like torture.

    3. Also similar to the 1.12.2 to 1.13 gap, would absolutely destroy modding.

    4. They don't care for Java, they love Bedrock because that's where they get their marketplace money.

Yeah, all that unoptimized, hard coded, and ancient code isn't going anywhere, and believe me, we all want it gone. But it's simply too unrealistic. Honestly, the closest we're gonna get to that is Hytale, which isn't ever coming out. I mean, have you seen the janky player movement code?

Honestly, I don't even want updates anymore, this game is bloated.
