Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Chain-mail functions

Chain-mail should see more use, any armor can replace it. Some good functions that could be given would be... 

•An increase in the cooldown time of the next hit your enemy gives you

•Greater integrated projectile protection

•Another very interesting one would be that it can be fused with other armor to provide extra protection.

I don't think there should be a way to craft this item.

    I don't know bro, chain-mail gives 12 points of protection, if we fuse it with iron armor (which has 15 points) it would surpass netherite armor (which has 26 points) and if there is the possibility of fusing enchantments It would be very unbalanced, which is why I think it should remain that rare unless it is given a good nerf, a big nerf (and it would still be somewhat unbalanced).
