useless features and how make them useful

I have some ideas, but feel free to give me yours and other features that you think should be useful and how:

  • Trapped chests: they will have less slots but can be opened even if under a solid block
  • Furnace minecarts: with furnace minecarts you can craft blast furnace minecarts, they are faster than powered rails but also cost 8 coal to use
  • Honey bottles: when drunk, a honey bottle gives the player random effects depending on his current dimension, it can also give nothing, for exemple:
    • Overworld: Haste, Strength, Regeneration
    • Nether: Fire Resistance, Night Vision, Absorption
    • End: Levitation (only when falling in the void), Jump boost, Resistance
  • Edit: Blast furnace minecarts can overheat after alot of usage, making them unusable for couple minutes

    I would also like to add:

    Sniffer: digs up seeds to new plants that have a magical presence, can be used in potions, or have some other use.

    Farming: I know this isn't useless, but the only things I ever farm are sweet berries and sugar cane and I still thrive in my Minecraft world. Anyway, I think that things like wheat should have more uses that might be more desirable.
