The best way I can describe Minecraft at the moment is if machamp cut off two of its arms to fit in. There is no reason Minecraft has to be limited to one set game with the possible addition of mods. What I suggest is a mob vote like scenario; where Mojang adds all the ideas they have to the game with a base version each update. For example, you have a base version of 1.19/20/21. Then let players pick there base version (I would choose 1.20) and then let them either go straight to the next base version (1.21) or pick which things they would like to add from that next base version while letting them not pick things they do not wish. So I would pick 1.20 for my base version and then add the automatic crafter and a few other changes I like while ignoring the changes I don't like the raid potions for example. Essentially this would allow players to pick things they want and having a more free playstyle. This would also remove the much hated mob vote and allow players who want basic gameplay and those who want more complicated gameplay to have that direct easy option.
