    Fortune can reduce this chance of the crop failure.

    • Fortune 1: 5% chance 
    • Fortune 2: 3% chance
    • Fortune 3: 1% chance

    There could be an enchantment curse for this game mechanic.

    Curse of Crop Failure: This is an armor enchantment, it has a 10 block range and it increases crop failure rate when harvesting by anything while you are wearing at least one piece of armor with this enchantment.

    • Level 1: 20% chance harvested crop fails 
    • Level 2: 40% chance harvested crop fails 
    • Level 3: 80% chance harvested crop fails

    A crop in range of this enchantment can also fail regardless of method used to harvest if an affected player with this enchantment is nearby enough. If more than one player is affected with this enchantment within range, the highest level will take precedence.
