After having played Minecraft for over ten years (By the way, happy 15th birthday, Minecraft!), I've come to feel increasingly overwhelmed by all the new features. Additionally, the game doesn't run as smoothly as it used to, back when there were only three types of wood, one type of stone, and a limited world border. At the same time, I LOVE the new features and would hate to let them go by running an older version. This brings me to my suggestion.
Perhaps, in world creation, players could pick and choose which biomes, items, mobs, etc. could be generated and available in that world. For example, maybe a player doesn't want Piglins anymore, and chooses to have them completely absent from their world, even Bastion Remnants, to make the Nether a little more like old Minecraft. Or perhaps someone has an intense hatred of cartography tables and wants them gone, too.
Secondly, players should get to choose their world size. I have a sort of nostalgia for Xbox 360 worlds which spanned only about the size of a level 3 map. What if players had the freedom to choose the max size of their worlds using exact numerical values?
If possible, it would be awesome if either or both could be applied to already existing worlds, too, removing certain items, mobs, biomes, etc. and adding a border around what has already been explored to make the world run potentially smoother, especially in split screen, so I can enjoy Minecraft with my bros side-by-side just like in the older days.
