    I think it would be interesting if there was a better method for aligning the buttons in the game, which automatically aligns the buttons horizontally and vertically, Or, according to the center of the screen

     

    The size of the buttons should also be increased independently

    In terms of control types, it would be interesting if there was a way to change the way you interact with the world, being able to switch between hitting or interacting with click

    Good to see some improvements! I hope the revamp of touch controls can allow for the return of other features (like bundles maybe?), anyway this is a welcome change.

    re add the backwards left and right buttons

     

    and make the jump button bigger and "almost" attached to the reset of the dpad

     

    because most players like to run by swap down to them jump button to sprint jump

    therefore make the jump button in the dpad by default while having the option to turn swap jump and crouch 

     

    also most requested feature for the touch controls is action buttons for dpads scheme 

     

    and sprint key with the option to make it always sprint

    maybe also option for hold to sneak

     

    dont make the jump button disappear when flying and swimming 

     

    reduce the gap between arrow keys on d-pad

     

    fix the inconsistencies between dpad gap when increasing the size

    add Legacy Mode Option for D-pad im an old user and i don't liked this new d-pad for PVP in cubecraft is horrible

    can you add toggles to single tap crouch in touch button? like in the joystick but for d-pad controls.

    Minecraft should have a feature for creating new buttons in the game, to help add-on creators who want to create resources for mobile and PC

    I sometimes have a bug with addons where the d-pad size and position resets when i rides a custom entity. Not sure if this will fix it, but i'm hopeful

    Problem with swap jump and sneak: I swipe my finger dowm from the forward to the jump button in order to run and jump at the same time. but since the dpad update, you can still do it but you will stop going forward if you swipe your finger too far down, (to about halfway down the jump button) this is really annoying, and requires me to be really accurate with how far down I swipe my finger.

    In other words, you can't sprint jump using the bottom half of the jump button with swap jump and sneak enabled

    Boat controls: 2
    Allow for the d-pad to be used to control a boat.
    You can't customize the positions of the arrows when riding a boat (it moves an invisible dpad instead)

    Make the fly up button be where the jump button was before entering fly mode and the fly down button where the crouch/sneak button was.

    2 issues with scaffolding:
    Entering a scaffolding resets the sneak, fly up (also scaffold up), fly down (also scaffold down) buttons.

    This used to not happen but the scaffold up/down buttons would be ontop of where my crouch/sneak button is.

    Solution: make the fly/scaffold up button be the same button as the jump one and make the fly/scaffold down button be the same as the crouch button. (And fix them resetting)

    Priority number one: Please add another control schema for the dpad and action buttons.

    Second gripe: Please fix the larger gap between buttons on the redesigned dpad. Change the look of the Dpad back. The new buttons look worse imo.

    Just annoying but not the end of the world: I currently have a bug where i cant change the size of the move up button for scaffolding (ipad 9).

    And while im here: Press and hold for sneak is another cool thing.

    Touch controls to me are closer to a keyboard and mouse than a controller. It feels like you’re trying to make them more controller like, when it shouldn’t be. Imo.

    I wish it had an optional auto run option. Therefore, your character will walk normally, but when you do something specific, he will run nonstop, forward, allowing you to interact with Wind charge or fight

    Idk what the last post was meaning, but speaking of sprinting, auto/toggle sprint (meaning sprint on movement without double clicking) would be really nice to have in vanilla without clients, there are no downsides to adding this and idk why they haven't yet.

    as most people use swap jump and sneak 

     

    im sure it would be better for the jump button to be in the middle of the dpad by default 

    as it used to 

    because most liked that ability to sprint jump easily with one finger

    the developers seems to focus on the joystick more while like 65% of the players uses the dpad

    and most who uses the joystick its not for the joystick its for the other functionality it has like
    sprint button/auto sprint
    action buttons etc

    well i would like to extend the action buttons
    by making one action button do the functionality of 'right click'
    and tapping on the screen would count as left clicks

    i really appreciate your work <3

    The new jump buttons and D-pad are inferior to the old ones both stylistically and functionally. The change to the visual design is okay, but the hotbar stayed the same making it look inconsistent. Between the old and new ones, I prefer the old visual design. The real deal-breaker is the changes to functionality. The default locations of the jump and movement buttons was moved away from edges of the screen, which is makes them uncomfortable to reach for. The ability to customize the location of the buttons is cool, but I'll never get them exactly where they were. My 2 biggest complaints are with the flight mode buttons and hotbar, though. The button for descending and exiting flight mode used to be in the same relative location as the jump button, but it was moved to be below it, leaving an empty space between it and the ascend button. This change really messes with my muscle memory; I always instinctually tap in between the new flight buttons because that was where the button used to be. I also want to mention the hotbar. It doesn't look any different, but it feels a lot less sensitive. For some reason, it doesn't register when I tap it directly and instead it places a block, which is really annoying. It only selects if you only tap the lower half of it. It's really annoying.

    TL;DR, the new D-pad controls are a total downgrade. If you're not going to scrap them entirely, I'd at least like it if you added a classic control mode that brings the old controls and defaults back.

    To follow up on my other comment, I have some thoughts on the visual design changes. Counterintuitively, the 3-D-looking designs of the new D-pad and other controls feel worse to use than the 2-D-looking old ones. The implied depth of the new buttons causes confusion about where the boundaries of the buttons are. Is it just the flat "front" of the button that registers input, or is it the entire icon? The flat, sharply defined edges of the old buttons didn't have this problem. In general, I don't like the visual design changes that the game has been receiving, and I think they remove some of the game's original charm.

    The new UI is incredibly difficult and frustrating to use, I especially struggle in water trying to ascend streams, often falling out of the water and dying. I didn't have that problem before.
    I even tried moving the controls but it doesn't help. The new UI issue just makes the game less enjoyable to play.
    I haven't played in a while and now that I have time I wanted to come back and get a realm to play with friends but it's not worth it if I'm going to struggle the entire time :/
