Golden Forests

Golden Forests generate in the deep dark, and they would be a truly fantastical sight to behold. They are home to a new type of tree known as goldenwood, which has a bright yellow color to its wood and leaves. Its saplings, in addition to being able to grow on dirt and grass, can also grow on stone and deepslate.

Also, Golden Forests have a lot more gold than other biomes. If Mojang wanted it to be so you could live in this biome, there might be animals, but I'm not sure. Ancient cities cannot spawn here.

I also want it to be home to at least one unique mob found in Golden Forests. I'm not sure of specifics, but I had these ideas:

  • Dwarves (its underground, there's gold, why not?)
  • This could be a great way to include the Rascal (From the 2022 mob vote)

    I like the idea of this, but I don't like the fact that it's in the deep dark. A bright yellow color just doesn't fit in with a dark blue underground...

    Regarding the previous comment: by "deep dark" I am referring to the biome at y=-8 and lower, not the areas with sculk in them.
