Fix Minecraft Console Edition's only parity issue

Towards the end of Minecraft: Console Edition's lifespan, the PlayStation 4 Edition of the game was updated to the Village & Pillage update, because of this, the Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition were left behind on the World Of Colour update. (1.12)

At this point, every other Console Edition had been updated to at least the Update Aquatic... (1.13)

That is, all other than the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch editions. This doesn’t exactly make sense either, considering their predecessor consoles, the Xbox 360, WiiU, and even PlayStation Vita - the least powerful version of Minecraft Console - had gotten that 1.13 update, despite being significantly less powerful. This petition is designed to request that Mojang, Microsoft, or 4J Studios updates the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch Console Editions of the game to 1.14, or the same update the PlayStation 4 received, since they are more than capable of handling it. This would also fix the parity issue between the legacy versions; with the newer-gen consoles all having the Village and Pillage update, and the older-gen consoles having the update aquatic. This is something Mojang are striving towards with the Java and Bedrock versions of the game. Console Edition shouldn't be left out when all that is required is taking the finished update files from the PS4 and porting them to the Xbox One and Nintendo switch versions - then there would be no need for any future work on the Console Editions of the game.

    I totally agree !! It makes absolutely no sense that the xbox one edition is behind the 360 or even other less powerful consoles ! I am surprising by this petition because I had given up, thinking I was the only one who wanted Xbox one to be at the same level as the 360 for the updates! But I am happy to see that there is still a community that wants to fix this probleme! Because it's not normal ! We paid for this game and the bedrock edition is in no way an update of this game !!

    It would also be cool if the minigames were cross-platform. For example, you could link

    Though some may be impossible, it would theoretically work via LAN. Idk, just thought it was a good idea

    if this happens i hope they bring back switch edition. I want to buy it because minecraft bedrock switch is very laggy and often just doesnt work

    I fully agree with this, but there's just one thing they should change too. On one of the last few updates of Xbox One Console Edition they forced in the old Bedrock Edition boat crafting recipe where you need 5 wood planks AND a shovel where as it used to just be 5 wood planks (Java Edition never got this crafting recipe). This later changed in more recent versions of Bedrock Edition, removing the shovel from being apart of the crafting recipe. I'm not sure if this plagues any other Legacy Console but if it does I feel that it should be removed if they're all going to be updated to Playstations version of 1.14. (No one ever liked the fact that there was a shovel in the crafting recipe to begin with!)

    They should do this! Also, It would be great if you could get Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition without having to get a separate Nintendo Switch to play it. Luckily I have it on my switch (: but why is it in 1.12??

    Mojang should get in touch with 4J and bring all of console edition Minecraft to The same version 1.14

    Also they should add nether update to console edition But hey that's just me

    Yes, please bring back Xbox one edition, it's quite better than bedrock edition, it has a pinch of more nostalgia to it as well, the mashups aren't broken, and the mobs just have that sense of movement like it was on java, we need this edition back, please bring it back Mojang!!

    As someone who never owned Minecraft Xbox One Edition but I played it I really REALLY want to buy it rn and I would like to see 1.14 to come on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. I only have installed trial edition but I want to have full edition. So let's vote :D!

    i mean the vita is preety power ful so  think it shoul get a strip down version of the ps4 like adding pillagers and updaationg the end and the nintendo switch and xbox 1 should recieve an update too there are more than capable of running at the ps4 console level

    This would be awesome but much more realistically and easier to implement (both should be done if possible) is just making Legacy Edition available for all owners of Bedrock. It makes me really upset to know I was only three months too late in getting Minecraft on the Switch in 2018 so I'm forever locked out of the version that I want to play. I would think they just have to press a button to make it available. Please Mojang! I would LOVE to own Minecraft Nintendo Switch edition and be able to play the minigames in splitscreen when my cousins come over!!

    I fully agree.  The Legacy Console Edition 100% needs to be brought at least up to 1.14.  The features that came with it are must-haves, and it gives 4J a last hurrah for LCE. Personally, I would not mind getting 1.21, but nothing less than 1.14.

    Mojang, UPDATE LEGACY CONSOLE EDITION.  NOW!

    If they do, atleast make the trees on the PS3 port more consistent with the PS Vita and PS4 port.

    This should have been done years ago, especially since the PS4 legacy version has it. A lot of us would prefer a consistent legacy console version on all platforms.

    I REALLY think this is an amazing idea. not leaving others out is the best thing mojang could do. as a person who wants every Minecraft edition I really wanna see 1.14 in each edition. also (and it's is just a suggestion) if they're gonna update, why not upgrade to the latest update? that would be cool. however it is just a suggestion that part and I still wanna see 1.14 on each console. pls consider Mojang/Microsoft :)
