Fix Minecraft Console Edition's only parity issue

Towards the end of Minecraft: Console Edition's lifespan, the PlayStation 4 Edition of the game was updated to the Village & Pillage update, because of this, the Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition were left behind on the World Of Colour update. (1.12)

At this point, every other Console Edition had been updated to at least the Update Aquatic... (1.13)

That is, all other than the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch editions. This doesn’t exactly make sense either, considering their predecessor consoles, the Xbox 360, WiiU, and even PlayStation Vita - the least powerful version of Minecraft Console - had gotten that 1.13 update, despite being significantly less powerful. This petition is designed to request that Mojang, Microsoft, or 4J Studios updates the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch Console Editions of the game to 1.14, or the same update the PlayStation 4 received, since they are more than capable of handling it. This would also fix the parity issue between the legacy versions; with the newer-gen consoles all having the Village and Pillage update, and the older-gen consoles having the update aquatic. This is something Mojang are striving towards with the Java and Bedrock versions of the game. Console Edition shouldn't be left out when all that is required is taking the finished update files from the PS4 and porting them to the Xbox One and Nintendo switch versions - then there would be no need for any future work on the Console Editions of the game.

    Minecraft Legacy Console Edition should have chat (I didn’t mean voice chat i alr know that feature but we need a text chat) and commands and command block should used (cuz in LCE you can’t actually type anything and you can’t used) and also cross-play, xbox one and Nintendo switch editions and also the new ps4 disc or digitally on Xbox one and nintendo switch and even bedrock Xbox one and nintendo disc should have “editions” button like the ps4 one but you should have the old disc, i hope really would this happening soon

    but can anyone explain that the foxes doesn’t exist in Minecraft Legacy console edition 1.14 as it’s part of the update 1.14 wth💀💀

    yall shouldive added this into the petition "let other consoles from ps3 ps4 xbox ps vita and other consoles have cross play with only console editions ps3 joining ps4 ps vita xbox and others it would just need one server instead from xbox having a seperate server and ps3 having another server only ps3 "

    I feel Ps3, XBOX360, wii u, and the rest of the 7th gen/older consoles should stay in aquatic update since it doesnt have the trash 1.14+ textures, but give xbox one at least 1.13 or 1.14 even better

    I began on this version of minecraft on my ps3 and it was really great plus i think it should get an update not only to finish it off but to give more content to the game so it will last longer for the player base

    This needs to happen, literally every version has the 1.13 aquatic update, PS4 with the 1.14 Village & Pillage update, and Xbox one edition has 1.12 WOC update.

    This would be a amazing update i would be able to enjoy legacy update aquatic without lagging it would be a bit less nostalgic but not that much less

    This is paramount, Lady Agnes. Nowadays, people are forced to play Bugrock Edition when they upload their X360 worlds to Xbox One Edition/ WiiU to Switch Edition. If this gets to their goal in the next week, you HAVE to do this. (the funny part is that I didn’t even come from legacy edition; I came from old PE)

    100% mojang should do this. Also if its possible, they should make it so that you can still buy minecraft legacy console on the Microsoft and eshop stores. You should give people the option to chose which version they want. It's stupid that I can't buy the old minecraft online.

    I do agree that Xbox One Edition should be updated to 1.14, but I think Switch should be updated to 1.13 maximum. Bedrock barely performs well on the Switch because of all the new updates, as well as any console that has Bedrock.

    Plz plz let this update get passed 🙏🏻🙏🏻! I’m currently building a massive city on my Xbox 1 edition & bedrock is just so annoying & clunky to use, yet I also need it cuz there’s a banner/item frame/painting limit that gets rly annoying.

    It’s really frustrating that the Xbox One and Switch editions are stuck on 1.12 while older consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS Vita got 1.13. These newer consoles are more than capable of handling updates beyond 1.12, so it doesn’t make sense why they were left behind. The PS4 got the Village & Pillage update (1.14), so why not bring the Xbox One and Switch up to the same level?

    I get that Bedrock is the main focus now, and it’s awesome that it brings cross-platform play and other features, but there’s still a dedicated community that loves the legacy console editions. These versions offer a different experience that many players still prefer. It feels unfair that those who stuck with these versions are missing out on content that’s available on other consoles.

    Updating Xbox One and Switch to 1.14 would ensure parity across all legacy consoles and give players a sense of closure. It’s not just about having the latest content—it’s about making sure everyone who plays on these consoles has access to the same features. Plus, it would be a great way for Mojang to show that they still care about all their players, not just those who’ve moved to Bedrock or Java.

    Let’s hope Mojang, Microsoft, or 4J Studios listens to the community and gives these versions the final update they deserve!

    I do think that this is a great idea, but I think that they should probably update all versions of legacy to 1.14 instead of just the newer gen consoles. Here is why.

    Firstly, this would make 100% perfect parity between all legacy console versions of Minecraft, allowing anyone with a device that can play legacy console able to play the most up-to-date version of this edition. 

    Next, if they are going to be updating the newer gen versions then why not just update the other ones too since it would probably take around as much effort as updating the other ones.

    Finally, It would give the previous-gen consoles some love, as not many big corporations ever give these consoles any attention, and doing this would make the community of these specific consoles and/or editions very happy.

    I stand by this as well this will give the community more opportunities to enjoy the game in different ways and the hardware can handle it so why not? Please do it for us the Minecraft community.

    additionally, 4J shouldve worked on atleast porting bedrock to consoles, the people in charge of console ports are SERIOUSLY doing something wrong.
