A new item for cooking called the cooking pot.
How to craft
Using copper ingots and the same recipe as the cauldron you craft a copper pan (looks like the cauldron but copper). Then when combined with the campfire (both plain and soul campfire are compatible) in the crafting table it makes a cooking pot, the cooking pot doesn't require a heat source as the campfire will do that. It can be mined with a pickaxe and drops as an item and doesn't break unlike the campfire.
How to use
When interacted with the cooking pot shows two interfaces one like the crafting table to make all the pre-exiting cooking recipes and new recipes like soups and stews. To make the soups combine one wooden bowl, one bottle of water and carrots, beetroots, potatoes, mushrooms, or cooked chicken to make their respective soups. To make stews combine one wooden bowl, one bottle of water and either cooked beef, rabbit, pork, salmon, or cod to make their respective stews.
The other interface is like the furnace where the top slot is for food and the bottom is for water sources (either a bottle of water that cooks 8 items or a bucket of water that cooks 80 items) new recipes include boiled eggs and turning sugarcane into sugar by boiling the items. If Crabs are added, when killed they drop crab legs that can be cooked to make steamed crab legs the same goes for frogs.
