Change ore textures from being an actual block, to being generated automatically by placing a texture over the block they're replacing.
Advantages to doing this:
1. Ores generated in a stone like granite won't look weird now (as in out of place).
2. There shouldn't be a need to make an ore texture for every natural stone (example: granite emerald ore).
3. If there's ever an update that brings variated ore textures, there will once again be no need to make a lot of extra textures for each variant in each stone.
Decorative ore blocks (not the main purpose of this suggestion): These ore blocks can be made by interacting while crouching with a (natural) stone block and a piece of raw ore/ a gemstone (diamond/emerald/redstone dust/lapis/quartz) will create a decorative ore block, which can be picked up as if the tool mined had Silk Touch, and can be mined (and obtained) with anything, even with your hand, regardless of ore tier (ore can be reclaimed by smelting/blasting block, stone gets lost). There's absolutely no purpose to this idea, except minimizing the amount of raw materials used in decorating, let's say, a mine or similar building, and making rarer ore variants more accessible to survival builders (the decorative blocks have a "decorative" prefix, as to distinguish them from actually naturally generated ores).
