Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Tanning Bench

Similar to how Iron/Gold tools/armour can be smelted for nuggets, there should be a Block or a Feature that allows us to do the same for Leather Armour. Mobs often drop Leather Armour and these sometimes clutter player Inventories and Chests. The Tanning Bench or Tanning Rack could be Block that allows players to convert Leather Armour into either 1 piece of Leather or 1 piece of Rabbit Hide. Additionally, it could replace the Cauldron as the Job-Block for the Leather-worker Villager.

    I recently thought about this and it could be the new leather worker job site. But I think it should make rabbit hide, as metal stuff give nuggets if smelted.

    It could give an use to leather boots that I usualy get by fishing, but also leather armors from zombies/skeleton farms.

    The "block" could look like the ground variant bell but with a piece of leather instead of the bell and could be crafted like this :

    It would be great if it could create decorative blocks too, like pet armour stands which would be functional, leather cases for decoration, and different kinds of wall mounts.

    I'd really like something like this and the glass blower in my base. Brilliant for builders.
