For a while, the maximum stack size has remained at 64 for most blocks and items. This is mostly fine but results in a lot of inventory bloat early on, and makes inventory management more and more cumbersome as more varieties of items are added into the game.
I suggest some simple stack size increases;
Common blocks such as dirt, stone, sand, and gravel should be able to stack up to 256.
Craftable building blocks such as bricks and fences, and uncommon resource blocks such as logs should be able to stack to 128
Almost everything else, such as mining resources and ore blocks, redstone components, and food items should keep the default stack size of 64.
"Light" items that the player needs a substantial amount of, such as sticks, torches, seeds, arrows, and bottles should stack up to 1024.
Increasing stack sizes would be a relatively small and simple change that could massively improve the quality of life for modern players.
