If it is not possible to patch the item, heavy core has to be more common, so that people can have several

I think that the Mace is a great idea but needs some tweaking. The damage should definitely have a cap, or after it hits a certain point the amount of damage per falling difference decreases. I am pretty sure it is unanimous to make the model 3D, and I think a custom cooldown to swinging would make it feel heavy.

For HG players, there should be a weaker Mace (I'm talking about another weapon, like the mace, but with a lower damage accumulation). In HG, where people climb blocks a lot, a weaker Mace would be welcome, since few blocks high can give hitkill.
Another weaker version of the mace would make it easier for HG developers to adapt the weapon into PVP

Since the new weapon cannot be enchanted, it would be nice if the heavy core, being able to be placed on the ground, could, being a metal, be hit by one or more lightning bolts during an electrical storm (for example at least 4) when hit by these lightning bolts. He would get the particles of a charged creeper around him and when he picked it up with a pickaxe and created the new weapon (the mace), he could acquire the new ability to hit from heights and do area damage, paralyzing the enemies for a few seconds, this would give you It would give you time to relocate and not be surrounded by several zombies, for example.

Add more than just one interesting and rare weapon.

I think mace should be enchantable with channeling, its effect would be that during thunderstorms, the mace will summon lightning to any enemies it hits with its smash attack

It feels very unconnected with the rest of the game. Why is it craftable you get the items from the same place there's no point to it having to be crafted, scrap the heavy core and just have the mace drop from the vault, then add a normal blunt weapon type along with spears as this is a problem with the trident as well. Add a treasure sword and ax and you would have a great combat revamp but as it it just feels like a mod.

I like a lot the mace ! But I think it should need more development. Like the recipe. It would been better if the mace was made of 6 heavy core and one breeze rod. Because a mace should be heavy. And shouldn't it be cool if we could make a diamond, an iron and a netherite mace ? I think so. But for the overall, it was a great job

Really should consider nerfing it, but allowing it to have enchantments to regain its current damage output.

I think the mace can get some cool enchantments, like: Mending, Sharpness V, etc.

I think the best enchantment for Mace is like an area of splash damage similar to sweeping edge enchantment

Reduce the damage! 15 blocks to ONE HIT PLAYERS WITH PROTECTION 4 NETHERITE is too low. PvP and PvE would be ruined. And the heavy core is too easy to get. increase the difficulty to get the heavy core.

it is possible one shot a prot4 netherite armor player with just a wind charge and strength potion

I think the weapon could use unique enchantments, similar to the crossbows and tridents.
    My suggestion is Bounce/Rebound:

    Rebound:
Successfully hitting a mace attack and landing on the ground causes the player to bounce back up (like a slime block but not as high), allowing them to potentially get a second hit in!

My reasoning is, once you've used the mace once, it loses all it's value, this allows you to string in a few uses at once, and do damage to one of those other mobs youve knocked away.
Also I just think it would feel fun to use!

Another common one ive seen is increasing the knockback of the shockwave, which should be a bit stronger regardless, but a way to increase it further would be a nice return on an investment

The concept of Mace is great itself, but current realization is not good.
    1. Why not make it a classic weapon crafted with 2 sticks and 5 gold/planks/cobblestone/iron/diamond around stick in central slot or just make the mace drop from loot case, not a part of it? We currently have 2 types of weapons: craftable (example: sword) and trophy (example: trident), these is why using heavy core in crafting mace feels like using Totem of undying or Enchanted gold apple to craft something - very weird.
Theres no reason for heavy core to exist as separate item, it has no uses other than crafting mace or building in creative mode. I also dont understand using any type of road as a handle, if you're able to turn them into wind charges with bare hands, they are really brittle and unstable. It's not possible for them to hold anything heavy, not to mention that mace needs to be really strong to stand crushing blows it does.
    2. Heavy core is 3D itself, but the mace is flat. Make it at least 5 pixel wide.
    3. Heavy core's texture is overdetailized, that makes it look like small polished rock, but in reality rocks cant be used to make maces, because they are dense, but brittle. Smoother texture, maybe like magnetite would look better for it.

I think that it's a little overpowered, what i after you hit, you couldn't hit until you touched the ground, along with the cooldown, and the higher up you hit from you would bounce up a fifth of the way, so you have to clutch with water or something.

make it so that when you deal damage with a Mace from a height, damage is dealt! otherwise it's too unbalanced!

    A few thoughts:

I feel the mace should be buffed . It is just a reskinned diamond sword. The slam ability is cool, but it is extremely situational. I honestly do not see myself using the mace and the slam attack. I don't see myself carrying it around. The slam attack would also be really hard to effectively use in multiplayer settings. I also think the slam attack is hard to use, and the mace is useless besides the slam attack.

I say the slam attack be left as is for players with high skill to pull it off, but the mace should be more viable as a normal weapon. For bedrock edition, just simply increase the damage. For Java edition, change up the damage and cooldown to not be identical to another weapon, but in a way the damage per second is higher.

Besides just a simple damage increase, like I mentioned above, you could also do some other things that can differentiate it from other weapons. First, make it have a very big sweeping attack by default, without the sweeping edge enchantment. A higher sweeping would also make this very useful in the Trial Chambers. Second, increase its knockback.

Overall, the mace is a very cool weapon with a lot of potential, but does not justify obtaining one. I feel my suggested changes will make it more overall useful, fit with the weapon's design, and fit into vanilla Minecraft. Thank you for reading!

Give the mace a cool particle effect when you perform the slam attack!

Not only scale the damage with the high of fall, also scale on player momentum! So if a player drinks a speed II potion, and attacks with the mace, that would deal more damage.

When you just normally jump (not fall from a high place) and attack with the mace, instead of just dealing a normal critical hit (1.5x damage), maybe make it 2x damage, or maybe extra knockback.

    • It feels like those who claim the mace is OP haven't actually tested the snapshot, they only see an exaggerated video of youtubers who teleported to the sky in creative, then oneshotting a mob (which takes multiple tries), and immediately think it's OP. I've tried using the mace on PvP and it's actually very underpowered... With fast-moving players, it's almost impossible to one-shot properly, and players still have to rely on swords and bows to do kills.
    • This weapon is so risky that it's not useful on PvE hardcore. If anything it needs a buff with enchants like mending, or element effects if we craft the core with blaze rods. There's this massive problem of the mace being unrepairable in anvils eventually as it gets too expensive... that needs to be fixed.
    • The heavy core is also not something that casual players will ever find. I've played the snapshot and it's wayyy too rare, on average it took 5 trial chambers to get one. I should be able to get it upon completing 1-2 chambers. If new features are missable by 90% of players, then the updates will feel small and disappointing.

Add a katana that will have an attack speed faster than a regular sword. You can also add a bone knife, wich will produce more meat.

How can we make it so that the mace could be thrown like a trident. And if you enchant it for loyalty, it will return and also cause damage. You can also try to enchant it on the thunderer, then when the game falls near the creature, damage will be inflicted and lightning will strike. If you also hit someone with it, then lightning will also strike.
