Since the addition of amethyst blocks and their relation to sculk sensors via calibrated sculk sensor. And now by making it possible to make mob sounds by placing a mob head on the noteblock, I only see fitting that the noteblock could get some more directed attention. For example:
- By placing an amethyst block the sound could add sustain, perhaps doubling the amount of ticks or just detecting the sound from the noteblock and lengthening it by 2, this could perhaps be somehow calibrated either with redstone or perhaps a different tool.
- Nothing is worse than requiring the upper register of the noteblock and due to lag or other circumstances going one note too far. Why not add a function to an existing tool or add a tuner tool with which you can also tune the noteblock in a reverse order. lets say we need the last note, that means now we have to click 24 times, but with the tuner it could only be 1 click. The tool could be made from: Gold, Copper or Amethyst shard so they could get some extra use.
- Lower registers could use more resonant and piano like instruments aswell. Right now the only options in the low registers are (Wood - Bass string, very dry sounding, Pumpkin - Digeridoo, often not what is required and Wool - Guitar/Harpsichord, which is the only one in it's register.)
I would suggest adding something harpsicord like in higher registers to achieve some more complete baroque like effects.
P.S. Perhaps adding a bottom slab underneath could dampen the sound. :)
