Let's talk about Wolf Armor!

Since the initial release of the Wolf Armor, we have been working on improving it to increase its protection, usability and add customization. For protection there is a new approach to armor, which considers the player’s need to quickly see the state of the armor without using UI elements, and the ability to act quickly to help their pet wolf if needed.

Please try it out and let us know what you think - we're especially interested to hear your thoughts on if the armor protects the wolf enough and if it's clear to you when armor receives damage, as well as it being clear when your pet wolf takes damage.

    i agree, i think all wolf and horse armor should be at least slightly enchantable or even expensive, maybe even only special enchantments

    I like the 1.20 armored paws and 1.21 update so much. But remember, players can always not update if they prefer simpler minecraft. The options are easy to do in java, though bedrock could use that option too.

    I feel some players prefer old minecraft only because of nostalgia. New modern gamers who buy minecraft recently will often find old-version minecraft boring. Nostalgia players can simply stick to their old version, many of us wanted newer minecraft that's more fun with many new features. The potato april fools is especially good, it's unironically one of the best updates ever, and people on twitter and youtube wondered why it's so much more fun than the actual updates.

    The wolf armour is like the leather armour, as I have found out recently that it can be dyed different colours, like the collar when you tame it. It's kinda cool, actually!

    I love the dogs I also always go and find a wolves when I join a new mob but first obviously get some bones I love the cute new variations of wolves.

    Wolf armor should be used to attract other wolves and can make the targeting for the wolves easier.

    I feel like there should be different tiers of the armadillo armour. like, you could make more upgrade templates, like a leather tier, which has some perks like being able to add a chest to it, while still having the strength of an armadillo armor, but also the perks of leather, like ability to walk on powdered snow. there would also be other tiers like iron, which acts like a shield that can deflect a skeleton's arrow. gold, which would cause the dog to be healed in the nether when around piglins (the healing effects would get stronger around piglin brutes). a diamond tier, which would show nearby coal, iron, lava, and skeletons. and finally netherite, which gives all the perks of the last tiers, also giving the dog knockback resistance 0.1 and an immunity to burning (the death of all great dogs). there would also be upgrade templates that you can find in all the other structures where armor trims generate.

    I feel like it'd be cooler if wolf armor could have the same trims that a player's armor would be able to have, using the same smithing table to add the armor trims.
