Piercing enchantment of crossbow is kind of useless in PVP. It's said that multishot enchantment will be strengthened soon, so why not strengthen piercing too,so that crossbow won't be so unpopular(at least around me)? Here let me show my idea.
For example, an arrow shot by a piercing IV crossbow can ignore the first entity 4*2=8 points of armor AND armor toughness, ignore the second entity (4-1)*2=6 points, if it is shot by a piercing III crossbow, it can ignore the first entity 3*2=6 points of armor and armor toughness, and so on. But in order to keep the game balanced, it can't ignore the protection enchantments on the armors.
I think doing like this not only makes crossbows more popular but also the game more reasonable. After all, your rival is pierced but still gets the same damage which isn't high at all, I mean, when he or she has good armors, that is unreasonable, isn't it? I really like using crossbows in PVP, so I sincerely hope that you can accept my idea, or some other similar ones. And one more thing, if you do so, BOTH IN JAVA AND BEDROCK. Thanks for reading.
