Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Teleportation beacon

Imagine if there was an update to the end and we got a new item that lets you survive in the void if you fall in.

I'd imagine something more like a teleportation beacon.
The mechanic consists in placing the beacon once it's been clicked, after a delay of x Tic it takes the player's "soul" and stays at the fixed point it was clicked.

Once the delay is over, the player teleports to the location of his "soul".

Similar concept in astracraft :)

    I like this idea.  I would expand on it though and argue that you should be able to make waypoints to teleport between like the waypoint mod.  Movement is way too slow in Minecraft as it is, and being able to teleport between bases, would be a huge time saver.
