Minecarts need to go WAYY faster

Why are minecarts so slow in bedrock edition (and java) . Like Minecraft console edition did Minecarts perfectly, you only needed a few powered rails and they would go very fast. In bedrock edition they go way too slow and saying that it's for performance is stupid because if minecarts can go vroom vroom on a 17 year old console, whats stopping that from being on a modern phone?

    nothing's stopping them. We have elytra and boats on ice on phone, and minecarts are ridiculous not even compared to boats on water, but even comparatively to regular sprinting.
    I have no idea why mojang did that

    i think they should go SUPER FAST with a slow acceleration. elytras are simply too overpowered and completely remove the need for minecarts. making minecarts go faster would make it better to travel to places you have already been to, but while exploring new places you can also have a fast way of transportation.
