Hello Minecraft!
First, allow me to say that I do appreciate you listening to community about the villager trades being OP, but I think the approach you've taken won't work well for many players.
1. The biome-specific librarian trades seems like a good idea on paper, but they would require a lot of time and/or resources (rockets) if you wanted to travel between them often. Making villagers in a certain location and transporting them to your base takes even more time and resources, especially with how notorious villagers are to transport and how easily they could die along the way.
2. I think one of the reasons for this is to get the player to explore more. I find this change to be less of a "I want to see what else is out there" and more of a "I have to set up the same huge project in 7 different spots." It's almost like a reverse quality of life change.
3. There are other ways that un-overpowering villagers could happen. Maybe high value books are only available at the master level. Random idea, but maybe a librarian could "learn" better trades not based on how many trades a player made but by how much the villager has studied (Time based like copper?) Not sure how that would be implemented in code but it's interesting to think about.
Thank you for reading.
