People have thought of a parity update and a performance separately, but seeing as Mojang enjoys making their updates have alliteration, why not combine them into one? The Performance and Parity update would improve game performance and add complete parity between the two versions. The team could take this time to also figure out how to properly implement the bundle into Bedrock Edition, and possibly improve upon a few features, such as furnace minecarts, because let's be honest, they suck. Another thing that could possibly be added would be some of the visual effects on Bedrock closely matching Java, such as the mainhand. It looks strange, being so far away from the camera. And there's no combat system like in Java Edition, and fixing redstone for Bedrock players would be a big plus, especially since that's a contributing factor to why people who like to use redstone don't play it. Making texture packs compatible with both platforms would be a huge plus, so texture pack developers wouldn't have to maintain a texture pack for both versions, and plus, making a texture pack for Bedrock Edition is much more difficult. Another optional addition to the update would be adding official modding support, so people can play with their favourite fabric and forge mods together. This would be a huge hurdle to overcome, but think about how much the playerbase would enjoy this. Overall, I think an update like this should at the very least add parity and improve performance significantly.
