Imagine sailing through the middle of the ocean in a boat, and you suddenly see waves crashing around in front of you. You’ve read the wiki and you know what this means. There is a ginormous trench right under you, like a hole in the Earth. You don’t how far it goes down, but you can make out a faint glow from it’s deep luminescent life.
For Minecraft updates to be good, we need to find something that hasn’t been updated, is out of place, and has no major part in the game. So, what about the oceans? They are vast worlds of kelp and gravel and are totally bare on the water surface. We already have mountains, giant caves, and lots of land biomes, but not much interesting, cool OCEAN biomes. So why don’t we update the oceans again?
This new deep ocean biome can be spotted by the characteristic waves it causes on the surface. Once you go down you can find thriving schools of glow squids, along with glowing plant life. You could possibly find new passive deep ocean creatures, who knows. But that’s not all, there are giant shipwrecks that are full of loot, lava vents on the ocean floor, and anglerfish and eels guarding the sunken ships.
Now, that’s just the gist of it, here are more ideas that might work, might not.
- The entire biome could just be a giant meteor crater.
- Sand cascades that fall into the trench and scare away the angry mobs.
- New breathing gear like enchantments, diving helmets, or something with the glowing plants
- Ocean music discs.
- Trident upgrades
