There are more than 800 items in the game, many of them visually similar to each other. An organized inventory and chest system is already a necessity for accessibility. It is something that will have to be addressed sooner or later, better sooner rather than later, because in the future, the number of items will increase. Since Minecraft came out, the number of objects has increased considerably, but the inventory remains the same. In chests for example, each row could only admit the first item that is placed in it. And in inventory, a submenu that allows you to customize the way items are sorted according to space or type of item.
Additionally, it would be great to have a button to lock inventory and prevent you from picking up items, that is, you kill a skeleton and with its drops, it can take up several inventory spaces at once. A locked inventory would increase the control the player has over their inventory.
A hopper with filtering mechanics would also help considerably, as the current number of items already demands an improved hopper. In summary, if the number of objects increases, so should the mechanics and tools to manage them.
