Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    would it have a better blast resistance?

    would its recipe be 8 iron of use iron blocks?

    would it have a unique noise?

    A straight up metal chest doesn't seem too well fitting for the vanilla artstyle. However, making it a reinforced chest, where the recipe includes a normal chest and then an alternating pattern of iron ingots and nuggets around it - so 4 each - and the result is a normal chest, but with embossed corners and a cage-like pattern around its sides, this thing could visually fit quite well into the brutalist-esque architecture of the strongholds. A slower break speed and significant blast resistance would then be the upgrade from a normal chest.

    I disagree with it doing anything special, even though people would also use that for decorative purposes.
