Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Unlit Light Source Variants

All burning light sources like lanterns, soul torches, torches, and soul lanterns should have an unlit and non-light emitting variant like redstone torches that you can put out by right-clicking on it with an empty hand. You can also start them up again by using flint and steel on them or maybe adding coal or charcoal to it. Most useful for map making and builds

    Yes, and torches, as the most primitive light source, should go out over time, this will make other light sources more in demand.
