This is something I have thought about for a while. Minecraft should add Hydrangea Plants. It could fit in the game, and here are my ideas for it.
The Hydrangea is a relatively rare plant you can find in Plains, Forests, Jungles, and Savannas. When harvested, It will drop some Hydrangea Petals, and even have a chance of dropping a Hydrangea Seed. If you go to a different biome, place down some dirt, place down a seed on top of that dirt, and wait long enough, a Hydrangea will grow! But, it will be a different color. You see, in real life, Hydrangeas' Color depends on the soil they grow in. I figure, in Minecraft, the color can vary by Biome! Also, if you want to take home the Hydrangea with it's special color, just simply use a flower pot and right click it. Then, the flower pot will contain the Hydrangea, and you can move that special colored Hydrangea anywhere (but it will always be in a pot :/ )! Also, with the Hydrangea leaves, a 2x2 with them in a crafting table will create a Hydrangea Petal Block, and a 2x2 of those will have a Thick Hydrangea Petal Block. Oh, I forgot to mention, when you harvest a Hydrangea, the petals that you get from harvesting it are colored like your Hydrangea, so the blocks will also be custom-colored!
Mojang, please add this feature to Minecraft. It's a feature that I believe will fit with Minecraft. Besides, this doesn't have to be EXACTLY how Hydrangeas work. You can modify features, and that's okay with me!
