ancient city dimension

i think a great way to light the portal in an ancient city is to kill the warden and let it drop a custom item to light the portal

    The warden is specifically designed not to be a boss the player should engage with in combat, but rather a sort of natural disaster to be avoided if at all possible, so giving it a drop required to access the ancient city portal makes no sense. Putting the "key" to the portal into a completely overhauled version of the secret room beneath the portal (we seriously do not need a basic redstone tutorial this late in the game) would be a much better idea. Especially, if it is locked behind some sort of puzzle, that punishes mistakes by activating a shrieker, potentially summoning the warden into the cramped confines of the secret room.
