I personally like the idea of references to older concepts being in there as well, like the Nether Reactor’s structure. Although having a way to differentiate between the 2 kinds would be necessary, maybe have references contain glazed terracotta, where hints contain more accurate block pallets (art relics compared to structural relics)

    Pros. of this idea:

    • Teaching players how to make things. There is definitely a gap for these particular items, and the Trail Ruins could be the opportunity that Minecraft needs to show a clear way to make these golems/buffs work for new players.
    • The lore: I won't go too deep here, but the implications for the lore here are quite an opportunity for storytelling, which is one of the main points of the 1.20 update and this structure in particular. Obviously the Trail Ruins are in very early development, but so far while it's a cool structure to theorise about, in the end it's not much more than a series of small caves with not much interest/content. These structures could be what the Trail Ruins needs to set itself apart from other structures.

    Cons. of this idea:

    • If they are going to stay at a similar size as to what they are now, then there won't be a whole lot of space for the little introductions. Of course, this can probably be fixed by simply making them have larger floor space, but this might take away from the original point of the structure.
    • The blocks that are required for teaching the players how to do these things might not line up with the current colour scheme.
    • The players that are finding and excavating the Trail Ruins might already be at a player skill level where they possibly don't even need to be shown how to make these things (a counter-argument could be made by simply pointing to the redstone in the ancient cities).

Overall, a cool suggestion to look into!

they should have a competition for the community to make a statue build within a fixed space and using certain blocks that will be added to the trail ruins

I'm not so sure if that would fit inside the trail ruins, space wise.

Conduits and Snow Golems wouldn't make much sense, given the landlocked and probably warm block filled nature of these ruins, so those would have to get their own tutorial structures separately or just be rare additions to underwater ruins and tundra villages respectively.

As for the enchanting setup, how exactly would could that be tutorialized without just straightup giving the player an enchanting table? That would be a really overpowered find early game, when the player is most likely to first stumble across this surface level structure. As such, this would also have to be relegated to a different structure, probably something challenging, somewhere in the negative y levels.

I do like the general idea of adding broken statues to the trail ruins though. One of those being an incomplete iron golem would be a great as an uncommon find, while the rest could be more quasi-lore inspiring in nature.
